37 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 37 weeks
Size of Baby W: Swiss Chard (about 19.25 inches & 6.3 lbs)
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 23 pounds
Maternity Clothes: Mostly maternity clothes, some normal tops & skirts
Gender: BOY!!! Wyndon James Wagner
Movement: He's been pretty active off & on all day; it seems like he is doing mostly rolling around with very few kicks/punches. He's also had the hiccups several times. I think he has dropped a little, so I'm feeling a lot of movement really low.
What I Miss: Sleeping on my stomach and sleeping through the night
Cravings: McDonald's French Fries, Pizza & Sno Cones
Wyatt's Cravings: None
Symptoms: Leg cramps at night; having to go to the bathroom more often; more difficulty sleeping/getting comfortable; indigestion; low back pain; getting out of breath easier; and my ankles (mostly my left one) have started swelling at the end of the day or when I get hot (yes, the list keeps getting longer!)
Best Moment This Week: Noticing that he has dropped and realizing we are so close to meeting him!

We went to the doctor for our weekly appointment on Thursday morning. We were in and out in less than an hour, which I'm pretty sure is a record, lol! We got to hear his heartbeat again and she said everything looked & sounded good. She also pointed out that she thought he had dropped, which would explain my more frequent middle-of-the-night-bathroom-trips and some tingling in my left leg. On Tuesday night, I woke up every 2 hours and then again on Wednesday night. I suppose mother nature is getting me ready for Wyndon, lol. I really needed a good night's sleep on Thursday night, so I prayed I'd get one and I did - I think I only got up 1 time! Anyways, back to the appointment.... She said she'd give me a choice this week on if I wanted her to check me or not, but next week she definitely will. I said I'd like her to (I'm very curious to see if anything is happening) and that's what she said - that she'd be curious too. My cervix was still closed and soft, but had moved to the back a little. She said it does that right before it moves back forward and starts opening. So, we will see this week if it has started opening.

Did you notice my new blog design? My wonderful sister was nice enough to design me a new background and header. I LOVE how it turned out! She kept asking me for some recent pictures of Wyatt and I, but we hardly ever have pictures taken. The most recent ones we had were the family pictures we had done in November. She suggested having someone at church take a picture of us Sunday. I felt a little awkward asking someone, so after we got home Wyatt set the camera up on the tripod. He has a little remote for the camera but it was only working some of the times. About half of the pictures have him trying to get the little remote thingy to work, lol! We also were able to get a couple with the dogs. I emailed them to her and told her to let her creative juices flow, lol! She did a great job! Thanks Cherrie!

I feel like I have so much I need to get done - finish thank-you's, get the blogs on the showers written, finish organizing the nursery, pack my hospital bag, regular housework, etc. Hopefully, I can mark several things off the list this week. I just keep saying that I can't believe we are so close to Wyndon being here! And if I think about the fact that I was 2 weeks early & a friend of mine recently had her baby 2 weeks early, we are even closer! Crazy!

Here's my mid-week/ 36 1/2 week photo:
Since Sunday was July 3rd, I decided to be a little patriotic & wear my red dress :)

Today, some friends of ours took some maternity pictures for me. When I was first pregnant, I definitely wanted to have some done. As time went by, it kinda got put on the back burner with everything else going on. Then I realized last week I wasn't going to be pregnant for much longer and I had better get them done (and soon!) if I was going to do them! Luckily my friend was available this morning to do them. I know we got some really cute shots, so I can't wait to see them! I'll be sure and post them when I get them.

I hope everyone has a great weekend (what's left) and try to stay cool!

36 Weeks - Only 4ish Weeks Left!!!

 Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 36 weeks
Size of Baby W: Crenshaw Melon (about 18.75 inches & 5.75 lbs)
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 21 pounds
Maternity Clothes: Mostly maternity clothes, some normal tops & skirts
Gender: BOY!!! Wyndon James Wagner
Movement: He's been pretty active off & on all day; it seems like he is doing mostly rolling around with very few kicks/punches. He's also had the hiccups several times
What I Miss: Sleeping on my stomach and not getting out of breath putting on my shoes, lol
Cravings: McDonald's French Fries, Pizza, Ice Cream & Sno Cones
Wyatt's Cravings: None
Symptoms: Leg cramps at night; having to go to the bathroom more often; more difficulty sleeping/getting comfortable; indigestion; low back pain; and getting out of breath easier (yes, the list keeps getting longer!)
Best Moment This Week: Hearing his heartbeat again and realizing this is the month we will probably meet him!

So we had our appointment this morning and now we will go every week! I can't believe it is already July.... and he's due in July!!! It really seems like the time has flown by! We are ready, for the most part anyways. There are a couple of little things we want to get taken care of, but otherwise I think we're as ready as we're ever going to be! Everything looked well today and thankfully they didn't say anymore about me needing to drink more water! The last 2 appointments, they've told me I need to drink more water. I'm not sure how much more I can drink unless I want to just sit on the toilet all day, lol! I have been having to go about once an hour, which is sometimes difficult while I'm flying. She did check me today and said that my cervix is still closed but very soft, so there's at least a little going on. I also preregistered for the epidural today (I haven't decided if I'm actually going to get one or not, but you have to sign up for it just in case you decide you want it).

I am still flying, believe it or not! My original thinking was that I was going to stop flying at the beginning of June. Well, obviously that didn't happen since it is now July, lol! The only part that is starting to bother me is the extreme heat. We've been over 100 the past couple of days here, so it'll tire you out pretty quickly (I'm hot natured anyways, so that doesn't help either). It is also starting to get a little more difficult to maneuver myself into & out of some of the airplanes. At this point, I'm just taking it week by week and I think I'll know when it's time to stop. I do have one student who told me he thinks it'd be exciting if I went into labor while we were flying (he thought it'd be cool to declare an emergency for his instructor going into labor). I told him if that happens I'd try to make sure he was the lucky student, lol! Although, I don't plan on that happening (& hope it doesn't)!

Here is my mid-week/ 35 1/2 week photo:

I am really looking forward to the 3 day weekend! There's a lot I need to get done around the house- some cleaning and putting away more baby stuff, as well as just relaxing and taking it easy. It's hard to believe this is going to be the last holdiay that it is just the 2 of us! I hope everyone has a safe & Happy Fourth of July!!!

Best Moment This Week: Watching my belly move a lot

This post is waaaaay overdue! We have been so busy the last couple of weeks! For the past 3 weekends, we have been in AR - for baby showers, a wedding, and we had a little overnight trip with our Sunday School class. Last week, we went over on Friday morning so I could spend some time with my sister. We had a family shower on Saturday morning and my sister (& brother-in-law & niece) had to leave right after lunch on Saturday. I plan to do a post for each of the showers we've had, so hopefully I can get caught up on those within the next week or so.

There really isn't much to report on the pregnancy for this week. I am feeling good for the most part. I do get out of breath and tired easily so I've just been trying to take it a little easier than normal. I can't believe how close we are to meeting this little guy! I'm really excited to see him and hold him, just not really looking forward to the 'getting him out' part, lol!

Here's my mid-week/ 34 1/2 week photo:
One last thing I have to share with you 'cause it's just so cute... Wyatt's aunt sent us (Wyndon) another package last week with a gift to take to the family shower as well as this little guy:
Isn't he adorable?!?! He is the Royal Engagement Commemorative Teddy Bear from the Great British Teddy Bear Company and is wearing Prince William's flight uniform - so fitting since we're both pilots! I can't wait to get a little clear box/container to display him in and put him on the bookshelf in Wyndon's room. Thanks Auntie Nette!

Check back tomorrow for the 36 week post - including the latest from our appointment today :)

Maternity Clothes: Mostly maternity clothes, some normal tops & skirts

Best Moment This Week: Getting to hear his heartbeat again

We had our 2 week appointment on Friday. We go back in 2 weeks and then it will be every week. WOW! I can't believe we are that close to the end! The appointment went really and she said things were looking really good. She did tell me that I need to be drinking more water - to the tune of 5 bottles a day! That's a lot of water! I've already been drinking 2 1/2 to 3 and have to go to the bathroom just about once an hour. I can only imagine how frequently I'll need to go if I drink 5 bottles. I'm not sure I'd make it through a flight if I do that. So, I'm going to drink as much as I can while I'm on the ground and limit my intake a little before flights. I think I had about 4 to 4 1/2 bottles on Friday and I had to go all.the.time! She also told me that I should probably fit in another meal during the day, possibly even 2. I've still been eating about the same portion size for meals, but my snacks in between have gotten a little bigger. I'll have to make sure and start packing 2 lunches I guess, lol!

There's not much else to report on. We've just been doing our normal day to day stuff - work, sleep, & eat. I do have to go in the nursery and just look at it at least once a day, lol. I absolutely love the way it turned out and it is definitely my favorite room in the house!

Here's my mid-week/ 33 1/2 week photo:

We've had a busy weekend - our Sunday school class went on an overnight trip Friday evening through Saturday afternoon - so I'm going to keep this post short. I do have pictures to post from my showers and also this past weekend. Hopefully I'll be able to get those posts done in the next couple of days. I hope everyone had a great weekend and Happy Father's Day to all the dad's out there!

~Before (Office) & After (Nursery)~

Ok, what you've all been waiting for...... pictures of the mostly finished nursery!!! We don't have anything on the walls yet and I'm still working on the bookshelf & finishing touches on the table, but this is what we have so far. A huge thank you to my wonderful mother who made the bedding and my awesome hubby for the hard work he did on painting the walls!

Here is the office before:

~Please ignore the clutteredness (is that a word?!?) of the bookshelf & closet

~And yes, that is a golfing Santa on the top shelf (he's been there for a couple of years...)

And the nursery after pictures:

I feel so much better now that it is mostly done. I absolutely LOVE the way it turned out and can't wait to put little Wyndon in there!

33 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 33 weeks
Size of Baby W: Pineapple (about 17 inches & 4.25 lbs)
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 18.5 pounds
Maternity Clothes: Mostly maternity clothes, some normal tops & skirts
Gender: BOY!!! Wyndon James Wagner
Movement: He's been pretty active off & on all day, but most active in the evenings & I can feel more of his movements, rather than just kicking
What I Miss: Sleeping on my stomach
Cravings: McDonald's French Fries, Pizza & Coke
Wyatt's Cravings: None
Symptoms: Leg cramps at night; having to go to the bathroom more often; more difficulty sleeping/getting comfortable; indigestion; low back pain; and getting out of breath easier (yes, the list keeps getting longer!)
Best Moment This Week: Getting the nursery done! (still have a little organizing to go, but it's pretty much finished, yay!)

There isn't really much new to report on this week, except that I feel like my belly gets bigger each day. I look in the mirror and think, "I'm pretty sure I (actually Wyndon) grew overnight!" lol! I also saw a new second digit on the scale that I've never seen before... I know with this whole pregnancy thing it is normal to gain weight, but it is so weird to look at the scale and see such a large number. It almost doesn't really feel like I've gained that much, other than the increasing difficulty in reaching my feet or getting out of breath so much easier, lol.

This week we (technically Wyatt) have just been trying to get the painting in the nursery finished because my mom was bringing over the crib and changing table Thursday. I am so happy with how it turned out! I just going in there and look at it and feel how smooth the walls are. I am going to do a separate post on the before (office) and after (nursery) once we take some pictures of the nursery (hopefully in the next couple of days). In the meantime, here is a picture I took of the finished walls:
I must say, my husband did an excellent job, especially since this was his first time!

I had my first shower Thursday evening and my second today. That will also be a separate post (I have to get the pictures first). We are so thankful for all the wonderful gifts we have gotten!

Oh, I almost forgot my mid-week/ 32 1/2 week pic:

I hope everyone has a good weekend and don't forget to check back for the finished nursery post!

32 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 32 weeks
Size of Baby W: Large Jicama (about 16.7 inches & 3.75 lbs)
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 17 pounds
Maternity Clothes: Mostly normal tops & dresses; maternity pants & shorts
Gender: BOY!!! Wyndon James Wagner
Movement: He's been pretty active off & on all day, but most active in the evenings & I can feel more of his movements, rather than just kicking
What I Miss: Sleeping on my stomach
Cravings: McDonald's French Fries, Ice cream, Snow Cones & Coke
Wyatt's Cravings: None
Symptoms: Leg cramps at night; having to go to the bathroom more often; more difficulty sleeping/getting comfortable; indigestion; low back pain; and getting out of breath easier (yes, the list keeps getting longer!)
Best Moment This Week: The first coat of 'paint' in the nursery is done and second coat is started! Can't wait to see it finished!!!

We had our 32 week appointment on Wednesday. The nurse said I didn't gain any weight, but I know I did! I told her my scales at home said I had and I noticed when we were there 2 weeks ago that their scale was off (it wasn't on zero with nothing on it) so I'm sure that skewed my weight from that visit. We got to hear his heartbeat again :) and she said everything sounded just perfect. We go back in 2 weeks and then it will be every week! Where has the time gone?!? I keep thinking, "This is June and I'm due in July.... oh-my-goodness!" Lol!

The doctor did think I might have or be getting a bladder infection, so she went ahead and wrote me a prescription and send me down to the lab to give a sample. I had already squeezed out what I could to give my doctor's office a sample, so I was thinking there's no way I can give another right now! I told Wyatt he could go ahead and go to work 'cause I was going to have to drink some water before I could pee again. It's a good thing he didn't wait on me because I think it was like 30-45 minutes until I felt like I could go! While I was waiting & drinking the bottle of water the lab lady gave me, she actually called thinking I had left my insurance card. I told her that I was still there... lol! When I finally felt like I could go, I went back and of course missed the cup with part of it. It was pretty sad how little was in the cup, but my doctor had told me they didn't need much of a sample. So, I put it in the little door thing and hoped it was enough!

I worked on Saturday (one of the last for a while!) and Wyatt got started taking everything out of the office so we can turn it into the nursery. He got the primer done and then we went to Lowe's to get the 'paint' Saturday evening. We were both so excited to see how it was going to look that he went ahead and started the first coat when we got home. He was only able to get one of the small walls done, but I was already happy with our decision on the 'paint'. Over the next few days, he got the rest of the first coat done. Thursday evening he got that same little wall's second coat on and I CAN'T wait to see how it looks when it's completely finished!!!

For Memorial Day, we went over to our friend's house. There were 3 other couples there as well and everyone brought their own meat to grill. We had a fun time visiting and hanging out. It was kinda funny because each couple had a baby - there were actually 2 of us pregnant too! I think everyone was not looking forward to having to go to work on Tuesday though.

Here's my mid-week/31 1/2 week picture:
Other than having a short, busy week, nothing else is really new. Oh, I think we might be getting a little 'parenting' preparation.... Wyatt came home from work about a week ago to find one of our dogs was sick and had left a very smelly mess (#2) all over the kitchen floor. He got it cleaned up before I got home (thank goodness) and he took the dog we thought was sick (Chase) to the vet on Saturday. We thought it was Chase because he had some of it stuck in his hair on his rear-endy. We had to put him in the bathtub and wash his back half to get it all out. The vet gave us some stuff to give him and special canned food to feed him. Then yesterday morning, we found another such mess (much smaller) on the rug in the living room. Also when I went to pack up the dog's kennels to go to AR this weekend, I found another such mess in Chloe's kennel. So, we gave her a bath last night and noticed Chase had more stuck in his rear-endy hair. So back to the bathtub with him. What was so funny was Wyatt pulled out the latex gloves he uses for painting to clean the dog! Then again this morning when he had to clean up another small mess. He said something about using the gloves when he has to change Wyndon's diapers. I thought that was so funny! I will definitely have to be sure and get a picture of it if that is the case (& make sure we are stocked up on latex gloves)!

Hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend!
