39 Weeks

*I will be doing a post on Wyndon and the story of his arrival - along with pictures - in the next couple of days, but I have to get this one done first.... I prefer things to be in order ;) Also, a huge thank-you to my sister for the awesome new blog design. Thanks Cherrie!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 39 weeks
Size of Baby W: Mini Watermelon (about 20 inches & 7.25 lbs)
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 27 pounds (Yikes! Up 4 lbs in 1 week!)
Maternity Clothes: Mostly maternity clothes, some normal tops & skirts
Gender: BOY!!! Wyndon James Wagner
Movement: He's been pretty active off & on all day; it seems like he is doing mostly rolling around with very few kicks/punches. He has definitely dropped and sometimes I feel like I can't sit up straight because it feels like I'm squishing something, lol
What I Miss: Sleeping on my stomach and sleeping through the night
Cravings: McDonald's French Fries, Pizza, & Coke
Wyatt's Cravings: None
Symptoms: Leg cramps at night; having to go to the bathroom more often; more difficulty sleeping/getting comfortable; indigestion; low back pain; getting out of breath easier; my ankles (mostly my left one) have started swelling at the end of the day or when I get hot; and overall discomfort (yes, the list keeps getting longer!)
Best Moment This Week: Getting excited about our little man's arrival in 1 week or less!

To be quite honest, I can't remember much about this week.... We've had a little 'excitement' since then :) We were supposed to have our weekly appointment on Thursday morning, July 21, but Wyndon decided to start his arrival process Wednesday night. I was going to wait until after the appointment to write this post so I could give any progress update there may be. As the week progressed, I just remember being more and more uncomfortable. Also, I gained 4 pounds in one week! That is the most I've gained in a week throughout the whole pregnancy. I don't usually get hung up on weight, but I was a little shocked to see that number on the scale. I actually thought the scale was broken so I weighed myself again, lol! I was a little worried what I might gain the next week, lol!

Here's my mid-week/ 38 1/2 week photo:
I know this was a short post and most of you are more interested in Wyndon's arrival, but I wanted to make sure I didn't forget to post my 39 week info. Hopefully I'll be able to get caught up on posts in the next few days. In the meantime, here's a little tease ;)

He's Here!

Hey Everyone! It's Cari, I'm just doing a little post for Libby since, she's hopefully on her way home from the hospital as I type this. Wyndon was born on Thursday, July 21 a little after 6pm. He was 8lbs and 6oz. 20.5 inches long. He is a big and beautiful, little man with chubby cheeks and I'll let Libby tell you more about him in a few days. She's still a little sore from her c-section and they want to get settled in at home and then she'll be back to tell you more and share some great photos they've taken.
In the meantime enjoy her new header!

Friend Shower

The next shower I had was a friends shower. My 2 bestest friends hosted it on June 11th in Arkansas at a restaurant called Noodles. Here are some of the picture highlights from it:

Miranda, Me, & Stephanie

My friend Jennifer who drove over from Tulsa for the shower. I'm so glad she got to come!

Wyatt's mom was so nice to send a huge box of gifts to my mother's house for her to bring to my friend shower. I think there were like 11 individually wrapped gifts, so I know she is so excited about her first grandbaby! She got us/Wyndon some super cute things! I don't think there are pictures of everything, but I'll post pictures of my favorites:
Super cute outfits - with airplanes on them :)
This is peel and stick vinyl chalkboard things in the shape of airplanes. I can't wait to put these on his walls when he gets a little older!
This is a hooded towel - love the colors & the 'W' on it!
Miranda made me these monogram burp cloths - they're almost too pretty to use!

Basket full of goodies from Steph

And she made me this cute diaper cake!

I got several other wonderful gifts and am so blessed to have such amazing friends!

Church Shower

It's terrible I'm just now getting around to posting these, but here is the first shower.

Three awesome girls from church - Sara, Elizabeth, and Tracy - threw me a wonderful shower. We had a little difficulty initially trying to figure out what date to do it, but we finally got it planned for June 9th. It also worked out for my mom to come and go to it with me.  Here are a few pictures from it :)

Sara made these cupcakes and they were absolutely delicious!!

This was the first monogram gift I received.
Gift from Sara and her mother-in-law - isn't the little robe & slippers sooo cute?!

Adorable bib Wyatt's mom sent for me to open at the shower. It says "His little lamb" with "The Lord is my shepherd... Psalm 23" on the back. I love it!

Me with mom and the quilt she made to go with the bedding

I received so many great gifts and am so thankful for the generosity of all the ladies from church! I was kicking myself after we left because I didn't get a picture with the ladies' who hosted it, but here is a picture of Elizabeth (to the left of my mom)

and Tracy (also on the left)
and Sara was the one taking pictures so unfortunately there isn't one of her.

Thanks again everyone!

38 Weeks - Full Term!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 38 weeks
Size of Baby W: Leek (about 19.75 inches & 6.8 lbs)
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 23.5 pounds
Maternity Clothes: Mostly maternity clothes, some normal tops & skirts
Gender: BOY!!! Wyndon James Wagner
Movement: He's been pretty active off & on all day; it seems like he is doing mostly rolling around with very few kicks/punches. He has definitely dropped and sometimes I feel like I can't sit up straight because it feels like I'm squishing something, lol
What I Miss: Sleeping on my stomach and sleeping through the night
Cravings: McDonald's French Fries, Pizza, Coke & Sno Cones
Wyatt's Cravings: None

Best Moment This Week: Thinking that I might be going into labor Sunday night; a little disappointed that it wasn't, but was kinda exciting at the time.

We had our weekly appointment this morning. I was looking forward to finding out if any progress was happening. I had some pretty consistent contractions Sunday afternoon and evening and then again on Monday so I thought for sure something was going on. Well, she checked me this morning and nothing! Still closed... :( I know I'm not technically due for 2 weeks, but I was a little disappointed. I really wouldn't mind (and kinda want) to have him a little early, especially since I think he's going to be a pretty big baby. So, if anyone has any tips/tricks to get things started, I'd like to hear them :)

We had a very productive afternoon Sunday. We exchanged a duplicate gift for our baby monitor and picked out the outfit to bring Wyndon home in. Then we got our grocery shopping done, which also included some other items we needed to be ready for Wyndon. After we got home, we got to work trying to get things cleaned up and organized so that when our families come they'll actually be able to get in our house. I also got my hospital bag pack, minus all my last minute stuff, so that is a bit of a relief. Throughout the afternoon I started having some belly tightening/contractions. They weren't painful but some made me pause and walk a little slower. I started watching the time and noticed they were every 6 minutes. After we got home they started getting a little more frequent and a little longer - 4-6 minutes apart and 1-2 minutes in duration. I decided to call and see if I should go in to get checked. I called and the doctor on call wasn't my doctor. He called me back and after getting all my info he said I could come in to be checked and they'd give me something to stop labor if I was going into labor. I was a little shocked by that and didn't necessarily agree with it. So, I decided to stay home and let things progress if they were and wait as long as possible to go in. Well, they never got any closer, longer, or more intense so I just decided that I'd go to bed. If I happened to wake up in the middle of the night, then it'd just be that much more exciting/crazy, lol!

Monday afternoon and evening I started having some more of the contractions, but more kinda crampy feeling. Once again, it never really got more intense. Off and on since then I've had some contractions and stuff, but apparently those were all just Braxton Hicks since they didn't do anything. So, hopefully when I go back next week there will actually be something happening.

I told Wyatt that we really need to get the car seat installed in the car so it's ready to go when the time comes. His family got us our travel system, which has still been in the box in our garage. So, last night he pulled it all out. We got the stroller put together and learned how to operate everything. It was dark outside so I figured it'd be easier to do the car seat in the daylight. So I think we'll try to do that tonight maybe. I love the design that we picked out. We went with something gender neutral so we can use it again in the future. Here's a picture of it:
I feel like we are pretty much ready for Wyndon to get here. I'm sure I'll think of a few other things that need done, but I'm pretty sure the 'big' stuff is done.

Here's my mid-week/ 37 1/2 week photo:

I have a few days off work, so I plan to do some crafting while I have time and finish tying up any loose ends. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

37 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 37 weeks
Size of Baby W: Swiss Chard (about 19.25 inches & 6.3 lbs)
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 23 pounds
Maternity Clothes: Mostly maternity clothes, some normal tops & skirts
Gender: BOY!!! Wyndon James Wagner
Movement: He's been pretty active off & on all day; it seems like he is doing mostly rolling around with very few kicks/punches. He's also had the hiccups several times. I think he has dropped a little, so I'm feeling a lot of movement really low.
What I Miss: Sleeping on my stomach and sleeping through the night
Cravings: McDonald's French Fries, Pizza & Sno Cones
Wyatt's Cravings: None
Symptoms: Leg cramps at night; having to go to the bathroom more often; more difficulty sleeping/getting comfortable; indigestion; low back pain; getting out of breath easier; and my ankles (mostly my left one) have started swelling at the end of the day or when I get hot (yes, the list keeps getting longer!)
Best Moment This Week: Noticing that he has dropped and realizing we are so close to meeting him!

We went to the doctor for our weekly appointment on Thursday morning. We were in and out in less than an hour, which I'm pretty sure is a record, lol! We got to hear his heartbeat again and she said everything looked & sounded good. She also pointed out that she thought he had dropped, which would explain my more frequent middle-of-the-night-bathroom-trips and some tingling in my left leg. On Tuesday night, I woke up every 2 hours and then again on Wednesday night. I suppose mother nature is getting me ready for Wyndon, lol. I really needed a good night's sleep on Thursday night, so I prayed I'd get one and I did - I think I only got up 1 time! Anyways, back to the appointment.... She said she'd give me a choice this week on if I wanted her to check me or not, but next week she definitely will. I said I'd like her to (I'm very curious to see if anything is happening) and that's what she said - that she'd be curious too. My cervix was still closed and soft, but had moved to the back a little. She said it does that right before it moves back forward and starts opening. So, we will see this week if it has started opening.

Did you notice my new blog design? My wonderful sister was nice enough to design me a new background and header. I LOVE how it turned out! She kept asking me for some recent pictures of Wyatt and I, but we hardly ever have pictures taken. The most recent ones we had were the family pictures we had done in November. She suggested having someone at church take a picture of us Sunday. I felt a little awkward asking someone, so after we got home Wyatt set the camera up on the tripod. He has a little remote for the camera but it was only working some of the times. About half of the pictures have him trying to get the little remote thingy to work, lol! We also were able to get a couple with the dogs. I emailed them to her and told her to let her creative juices flow, lol! She did a great job! Thanks Cherrie!

I feel like I have so much I need to get done - finish thank-you's, get the blogs on the showers written, finish organizing the nursery, pack my hospital bag, regular housework, etc. Hopefully, I can mark several things off the list this week. I just keep saying that I can't believe we are so close to Wyndon being here! And if I think about the fact that I was 2 weeks early & a friend of mine recently had her baby 2 weeks early, we are even closer! Crazy!

Here's my mid-week/ 36 1/2 week photo:
Since Sunday was July 3rd, I decided to be a little patriotic & wear my red dress :)

Today, some friends of ours took some maternity pictures for me. When I was first pregnant, I definitely wanted to have some done. As time went by, it kinda got put on the back burner with everything else going on. Then I realized last week I wasn't going to be pregnant for much longer and I had better get them done (and soon!) if I was going to do them! Luckily my friend was available this morning to do them. I know we got some really cute shots, so I can't wait to see them! I'll be sure and post them when I get them.

I hope everyone has a great weekend (what's left) and try to stay cool!

36 Weeks - Only 4ish Weeks Left!!!

 Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 36 weeks
Size of Baby W: Crenshaw Melon (about 18.75 inches & 5.75 lbs)
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 21 pounds
Maternity Clothes: Mostly maternity clothes, some normal tops & skirts
Gender: BOY!!! Wyndon James Wagner
Movement: He's been pretty active off & on all day; it seems like he is doing mostly rolling around with very few kicks/punches. He's also had the hiccups several times
What I Miss: Sleeping on my stomach and not getting out of breath putting on my shoes, lol

Wyatt's Cravings: None
Symptoms: Leg cramps at night; having to go to the bathroom more often; more difficulty sleeping/getting comfortable; indigestion; low back pain; and getting out of breath easier (yes, the list keeps getting longer!)
Best Moment This Week: Hearing his heartbeat again and realizing this is the month we will probably meet him!

So we had our appointment this morning and now we will go every week! I can't believe it is already July.... and he's due in July!!! It really seems like the time has flown by! We are ready, for the most part anyways. There are a couple of little things we want to get taken care of, but otherwise I think we're as ready as we're ever going to be! Everything looked well today and thankfully they didn't say anymore about me needing to drink more water! The last 2 appointments, they've told me I need to drink more water. I'm not sure how much more I can drink unless I want to just sit on the toilet all day, lol! I have been having to go about once an hour, which is sometimes difficult while I'm flying. She did check me today and said that my cervix is still closed but very soft, so there's at least a little going on. I also preregistered for the epidural today (I haven't decided if I'm actually going to get one or not, but you have to sign up for it just in case you decide you want it).

I am still flying, believe it or not! My original thinking was that I was going to stop flying at the beginning of June. Well, obviously that didn't happen since it is now July, lol! The only part that is starting to bother me is the extreme heat. We've been over 100 the past couple of days here, so it'll tire you out pretty quickly (I'm hot natured anyways, so that doesn't help either). It is also starting to get a little more difficult to maneuver myself into & out of some of the airplanes. At this point, I'm just taking it week by week and I think I'll know when it's time to stop. I do have one student who told me he thinks it'd be exciting if I went into labor while we were flying (he thought it'd be cool to declare an emergency for his instructor going into labor). I told him if that happens I'd try to make sure he was the lucky student, lol! Although, I don't plan on that happening (& hope it doesn't)!

Here is my mid-week/ 35 1/2 week photo:

I am really looking forward to the 3 day weekend! There's a lot I need to get done around the house- some cleaning and putting away more baby stuff, as well as just relaxing and taking it easy. It's hard to believe this is going to be the last holdiay that it is just the 2 of us! I hope everyone has a safe & Happy Fourth of July!!!

Best Moment This Week: Watching my belly move a lot

This post is waaaaay overdue! We have been so busy the last couple of weeks! For the past 3 weekends, we have been in AR - for baby showers, a wedding, and we had a little overnight trip with our Sunday School class. Last week, we went over on Friday morning so I could spend some time with my sister. We had a family shower on Saturday morning and my sister (& brother-in-law & niece) had to leave right after lunch on Saturday. I plan to do a post for each of the showers we've had, so hopefully I can get caught up on those within the next week or so.

There really isn't much to report on the pregnancy for this week. I am feeling good for the most part. I do get out of breath and tired easily so I've just been trying to take it a little easier than normal. I can't believe how close we are to meeting this little guy! I'm really excited to see him and hold him, just not really looking forward to the 'getting him out' part, lol!

Here's my mid-week/ 34 1/2 week photo:
One last thing I have to share with you 'cause it's just so cute... Wyatt's aunt sent us (Wyndon) another package last week with a gift to take to the family shower as well as this little guy:
Isn't he adorable?!?! He is the Royal Engagement Commemorative Teddy Bear from the Great British Teddy Bear Company and is wearing Prince William's flight uniform - so fitting since we're both pilots! I can't wait to get a little clear box/container to display him in and put him on the bookshelf in Wyndon's room. Thanks Auntie Nette!

Check back tomorrow for the 36 week post - including the latest from our appointment today :)
